About us
Making an Impact
with Minimally Invasive Sinus Elevation
ASSEK is a leading innovator in minimally invasive tools for sinus elevation and ridge augmentation in implantology. Developed by Dr. David Baranès, ASSEK provides dentists with compact, high-precision kits that simplify complex procedures, improve patient outcomes, and eliminate the risks associated with traditional techniques. Designed with safety, reliability, and efficiency in mind, ASSEK LIFT kits represent the next generation of sub-sinus bone elevation.
“The goal was clear: eliminate the trauma and complications of traditional sinus lift surgeries, and provide every dentist – no matter their experience – with tools they can trust to deliver safer, more successful results.”
– Dr. David Baranès
Our values
Our tools are designed with all stoppers, ensuring absolute control and eliminating the risk of membrane perforation during sinus elevation.
Our compact kits include all the necessary tools in a minimalist format, making procedures faster, easier, and more cost-effective.
We focus on reducing patient trauma by replacing traditional, invasive sinus surgeries with a streamlined, small-access approach.
Our kits are backed by years of research and have been tested by many countries throughin hundreds of clinical cases, with consistently reliable outcomes.
The ASSEK story
ASSEK was founded with a singular mission: to change the face of implant surgery by introducing safe, predictable, and minimally invasive tools for Sinus Lift elevation. Dr. Baranès’ vision was to create solutions that improve procedural outcomes and make complex techniques accessible to all dental practitioners.
The need for a change
Traditional sinus lift techniques, developed in the 1970s, rely on invasive approaches such as the lateral window method, requiring full surgical exposure of the maxillary sinus. These methods pose significant risks, including a 58% incidence of Schneiderian membrane perforation*, prolonged healing times, and substantial patient discomfort. Additionally, the complexity and extended duration of these procedures increase the burden on both practitioners and patients.

The ASSEK advantage
The ASSEK LIFT kits offer a minimally invasive solution to sinus elevation challenges, using diamond burs with stop-limited depth control and precision-engineered osteotomes to safely and predictably elevate the membrane. Designed for both situations: 1–4 mm residual sub-sinus
and lateral 4–10 mm residual sub-sinus approaches, the kits eliminate the need for full surgical exposure, reducing trauma and chair time. The compact, organized toolset simplifies workflow while ensuring maximum procedural control, minimizing complications, and delivering consistent outcomes for clinicians and patients alike.
The man making a massive impact
Dr. David Baranès is an oral surgeon with over 35 years of experience in implantology and periodontology. His advanced certifications include a Doctorate in Dental Surgery, biomaterials, periodontology, and implantology, earned from the University of Paris 7. He is also a leading authority on synthetic bone grafting techniques and is a flagship clinician for Augma. An international lecturer and clinical researcher, he has contributed to the development of cutting-edge techniques in bone regeneration and implant placement.
